Forklift capacity is more than the number printed in a product search. Buyers need to know how much the truck can safely handle at the required load center and lift height, because a long or high load can change the usable capacity.
In a warehouse, a truck may handle standard pallets in wide aisles, while an outdoor yard may move uneven loads over ramps or rough surfaces. The same nominal capacity can require different chassis, tyres, mast, visibility, and stability choices in each scene.
Confirm maximum load weight, load center distance, lift height, mast type, attachment, pallet size, aisle width, floor condition, tyre choice, and indoor or outdoor use. Duty cycle also affects battery, cooling, service, and operator comfort requirements.
Before quotation, provide the heaviest and most common loads, rack dimensions, travel distance, number of shifts, operating hours, loading dock conditions, and any special attachment. Include photos or a simple layout when the site has blind corners or restricted clearance.
